A life broke out

A life broke out and splattered

indiscriminately, as if it didn’t care

what was ruined or who was stained.

{}

Streams became rivers, then torrents

overpouring boundaries

while you watched from a dry distance.

{}

The skyview was beautiful,

delineating the courses of a portrait

too distant to touch, too viscous to hold,

and too shallow to dive into.
